Does anyone know anyhing that can counter act the drowsy side effect of atripla ? I am feeling tired and not wanting to get out of bed in the am.So i Sleep till the last second before i have to go to work and am neglecting my cleaning responsibilities.

I am reading about this gay hiv cruise and am wanting to go on to find out more info on staying healthy. They are going to have doctors and medical people on there and sounds like it could be pretty helpful . Is anybody else going on this cruise or have been on this cruise?

jj.  Take your meds earlier in the evening.  Depending when you have to get up.  Waite Take them in the evening, Not 2 AM in the morning. Also Rome was not built in a day. My problem is the fact that my work hours change every day and my schedule is a mess.  Once in a while I have also learned that a nap does not hurt.  Something I never would have considered a few short months ago.  Don't you dare say it, because it is not true, you would be surprised at how young looking and active I am for my age. I am just starting my second childhood.  Do you have more information on this cruise?  Sounds like something I would really enjoy.

consider giving jeff's advice a try. timing of your meds may make a difference.

hiv cruise thang... sounds fun, but bet you'll be even more drowsy afterwards! :-)

have fun if you go.

the sustiva is what is making you sleepy and tired. i have been taking sustiva for quite awhie, and i found that if i take it when i wake up in the morning the "hang-over" affects and vivid dreams are quite a bit less intense when i go to sleep at the regular time.

i know on the label it says take at bedtime, but you can take it in the morning, all you have to do is make sure you take them at about the same time every day. and plan on taking an afternoon/early evening nap. just a short one.  it helps even out  the side affects. and what the doctors don't tell you is once you start taking the meds once the levels are built up in your blood if you take the meds at pretty close to the same time every day the levels will stay constant, and that is what keeps the virus under control.

just sharing how i do mine.
