I'm a 23-year-old male who was diagnosed on November 17th, 2008, a day I'll never forget. I was transmitted hiv from 1 of 3 men who gang-raped me and I'm still coping with the anger and sadness I felt months ago. No one ever said the truth is pretty.

Beyond that, I play varsity sports for my university, am set to graduate this spring, and have people in my life who sometimes make me feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I'm up for talking at any time to anyone.

I haven't started on hiv medication and I'm incredibly scared to do so. I'm also still figuring out how I'm going to pay for it post university insurance. Yikes.
