I
just
got
off
the
phone
with
my
partner
who
is
in Indie
visiting
his
grandmother
who
is
in
a
nursing
home
there.
She
is
97
and
is
in
a
wheelchair
and
has
lost
control
of
her
bodily
functions.
She
still
is
sharp
as
a
tack
and
can
carry
on
the
most
interesting
conversations.
Today
is
the
first
she
has
been
out
to
eat
in
a
very
long
time
because
her
daughter
and
two
granddaughters
are
too
narcistic
to
help
her
go
to
the
bathroom.
They
are
having
a
family
dinner
tomorrow
and
Grandma
wasn't
invited
because
of
the
"bathroom
thing"
until
Bill
said
he
would
take
care
of
it
and
take
Grandma
to
the
bathroom
even
though
it
would
be
uncomfortable
for
both
of
them.
I
just
glad
she
got
to
celebrate
some
Independence
even
if
it
will
be
short
lived.
Families
got
a
love
em!
the
day
may
come
when
each
of
us
will
experience
some
bit
of
loss...
will
become
more
and
more
dependent
upon
others.
i
am
always
mindful
of
those
around
me
who
take
genuine
care
and
show
kind
compassion
for
those
who
require
tender
care...whether
an
elder
who
is
losing
function,
a
young
child
who
is
just
learning
something
new,
someone
who
is
gravely
ill,
someone
who
is
emotionally
or
spiritually
fragile.
empathy...the
ability
to
put
one's
self
in
another's
shoes
(or
wheelchair,
or
deathbed,
or
whatever),
and
then
taking
positive,
compassionate
action...well,
Bill
is
a
good
one,
who
will
hopefully
teach
others
through
his
example.
OFFLINE
What if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?
Your
right. His
family
sucks
he
hasn't
seen
his
mother
in
almost
9
years
just
because
of
his
being gay
how
narrow
huh?
My
family
is
different
my
sister
is
the
greatest
I
think
she
loves
Bill
more
than
she
loves
me.
He
is
such
a
good
guy...Like
you!!
