Questioning "again"

I just need to know if there's anybody out there, that questions what we have been told about HIV-AIDS at all ? Anybody out there that thinks that HAART is so toxic, and have so many serious side effects, that refuses to take them for life,at least willing to wait for a new alternative, that isn't that toxic? Do you think that "life" on HAART should be called life? I have never feel like myself again...Just wondering...

Thank you guys for your wise comments, I'm on Atripla, can't stand the side effects, but it had been working for me, all of them have pretty much the same side effects, so that's why I keep sticking to Atripla, I'm seen my Doctor tomorrow and will discuss the side effects that I'm still have, my options, as well as my VL and CD4 . I don't recommend nobody to stop HAART, I'm just not sure I could stick to the lifetime treatment... :)

At the moment All Meds and future Meds will be Toxic .And yes they have been proven to do more harm than good.. One of the main side effects overlooked is the damage and effect the drugs can have on other major organs ..When first diagnosed i refused all meds due to the fact that folk who adhered to them died quite quickly.. I decided to wait until a one pill a day came along which was Atripla .. But did not know then that the truth is never one pill a day its supported by others anti sick anti diarrhoea tranquilizers . anti fungal ..Only been on Meds 5 years and already resisitant to them due to liver damage created by the Meds ..Now free of meds .. I would not and certainly would not recommend others from declining meds as they are so important for longevity and as stability until other new drugs / Vaccine takes place...Mental and physical welfare are maintained to a certain degree .. But as with all meds and long term usage damage and mistakes are learnt from them ..

We are all experimental guinea pigs or lab rats... But better something than nothing

I think all of us feel like that sometimes. But I will tell you this. I have been off meds. I have been resistant to meds. And I have spent a long time (3 years to be exact) in and out of the hospital trying desperately not to die, and occasionally wishing that I would. Life off of meds, my dear, no matter how sucky they can be, is definitely not living. I don't buy into all that western medicine has to offer and I certainly do lots of things that make my doc cringe, but HELL yes I take the meds, and am thankful that I have them. I am resistant to most, and wwill most likely become resistant to the ones I am on. dont take them for granted.
