AMG In Las Vegas

I was wondering if anyone else from here is going that are on the Poz Forums? I've never been to an event like this so I kinda wanted to make some friends before hand that are going. (my husband is over joyed, Las Vegas is the candy store he's always wanted to get into) so if anyone is there in August and sees a woman dragging her husband out by the ear...that would be me (LOL)

AMG, I believe stands for Aids Med Group.  (I could be wrong there LOL its early for me and I just took my first sip of coffee so I'm still half asleep) Its through the Poz Forum.  The Official convention is in London.  But, the Las Vegas one is for people who can't make it too the London one.

I wish this forum had a gathering =).  Everyone here is so warm and welcoming.

I haven't been on there long enough to notice any of that.  In all honesty most of my conversations on there have been about getting active in advocacy and World of Warcraft (LOL)  But I do know everyone has been nice to me on there, and much like this place I think I've started a couple friendships.

I am no fan of the AMG forums or a good chunk of the clique that post whore on its site.  There is some good info to be found but by and large, there's too many double standards and other such bullcrap to make the place worth being around.

Hi Ravhyn,

I think you should go and have fun to enjoy the event. Even though I am not too sure what AMG stands for but I do for sure know it will be fun. Knowing friends and mingling around is important to get us going.
