I am in a polygamous relationship with two other men. There have been together for over four years and I have joined them since February. I am just now finishing the process of moving in. They have two cats, a golden retriever, a border collie, and Italian greyhound, a Boston terrier, and a miniature schnauzer. I am adding to that my two cats, four diamond doves, two geckos, one turtle, four toads, two leopard geckos, one hermit crab, and one tarantula.
As well as trying to expand their shop into an upstairs gallery with a rentable photographer's dark room, I am also doing art shows, reviving the community theater, working at my boyfriends' shop, and working on a novel.
If all goes well, I may branch out into other things like an online comic book with gay (and possibly lesbian) characters, a dance video for handicapped people (I walk with two canes), and singing for a small jazz ensemble.
I was many religions, but have settled on just being a witch (folk magic) with a hint of shamanism.
I am an artist who works in several media: pastels on handmade paper, wearable art, junk art scupltures, and collages.
You are The Sun
Happiness, Content, Joy.
The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.
Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.
The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.
You enjoy life, humor, and being exuberant. Wherever you go you usually find yourself stealing the spotlight without even trying. You love to let go and have fun.
After my mid-life crisis, near death experiences, official death, and five years of self-enforced celibacy, I think it’s time to take a risk.
I have always dreamed of being an artist. Since I was three years old and doing portraits of my family in green crayons. Since then my color preference has changed, but the dream is the same. So, I’ve begun with my own art show. Oddly enough, everything up to this point seems unreal. The show is called Handscapes because it’s pastel portraits of hands done like rough landscapes. Since then, I have done a few collages and am ready to return to soft sculptures and junk art.
Then I will get back into storytelling: Ghost stories, Histories, and Local Legends for all audiences and Horror/Romances for Gay Men.
If all goes well then I will really let loose and move on to writing a book, making an instruction video to teach handicapped people with canes how to ballroom dance, starting a jazz ensemble, creating an online gay superhero comic, and teaching art and storytelling. All of this while working at my boyfriends' (yes, plural)shop.
My real life has begun and I only recently found out. But as the saying goes, “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14b)
I just love this song. Sometimes they cancel it from youtube's end so it isn't always available. Let me know if it's down through messaging and I will find another version. There are always a few at any given time at youtube.
LIKES
Coffee
Chocolate with Orange Flavoring
Orange Clothing. Over 90 percent of my clothing is now orange. I either dyed or gave away everything else. It was time to be a little more authentic with who I am.
Dancing. I am handicapped, so it's weird to watch, but I love it.
Quick cuddling (hit and run)
Doing dishes and laundry (it's my 'alone' time since no one else wants to do it)
Blogging.
Weird and wild people. Social misfits. Wallflowers. Those of us who society thinks need to stay out of site of the normal people, lest we interrupt their day. SURPRISE.
Roller coaster rides
Spaghettios, Strawberry Shortcake, Key Lime Pie
Pumpkins, Halloween, and just plain Autumn
DISLIKES
Waking up at 6:30 a.m. to let the dogs out. However, one of them is very old and it's a necessity. It also gives me time to feed the cats and let them eat in peace.
Bitchy queens who set back gay rights by 20 years because they have to "live the stereotype"
The frequent bad weather and flooding in a river city.
Hagglers.
People who speed in the downtown areas (they are ALWAYS locals, never the tourists).
Being told I cannot do something. Right up there with being told I am not supposed to do something. It's the Scorpio thing.

OFFLINE
Born a Gypsy Prince to a tribe of nomadic Drag Queens but sadly kidnapped by a roving band of Feral Methodist Housewives
I like a variety of stuff, but tend to Big Band and old jazz when I'm just sort of hanging out. Although I am also a big Fleetwood Mac fan and all the obscure CDs I collected when I first came out. Club mixes are important because I love dancing. Favorites are Carly Simon, Loop Guru, Vanessa Mae, Bond, Annie Lennox, and so on. 25 percent of all my music is Christmas music. Make of that what you will, but I'm not gonna hide it. My Favorite songs are "Gypsy" by Fleetwood Mac or almost any variation of the "Carol of the Bells" (Ukranian Carol).
BOOKS
Omigod...let's short list this. Mysteries: Mr. Moto Series by John P. Marquand, Rabbi Small Series by Jonathan Kellerman, Miss Marple Series by Agatha Christie, Lord Peter Wimsey Series by Dorothy Parker, and Mr. and Mrs. North Series by Richard and Frances Lockridge. I read a lot of Gay and S/M references, as well as a lot of Art References. Horror: Old Stephen King, New Clive Barker (especially Weaveworld), Charles Grant, and T.M. Wright. Favorite Authors: Colette, Alison Bechdel (Dykes to Watch Out For comic strip creator) and Yasunari Kawabata. Favorite Book: "Book of Qualities" by J. Ruth Gendler. I read comics, but am only into the Legion of Superheroes (DC Comics).
MOVIES
I love Nature Documentaries. Right Now, I am into the Eyewitness Video series. Yeah, I know it's for kids, but the visuals are fantastic. So bite me. I like Horror Movies, both the old Universal Monster Classics and Modern Stuff. I do not like Stalker or Psycho thrillers. If it could really happen, I'll watch the news, thank you. My favorite movie is "Contact", but I have no idea why. My favorite actor is Sean Connery because he can still make me hard with his smart-ass smirk
